A Maine mother has been ordered by a court to stop reading the Bible to her daughter in her own home. Emily Bickford, a Christian mother, has been embroiled in a long-running custody dispute over the religious upbringing of her daughter, Ava. After becoming a Christian several years after Ava's birth, Bickford began taking her to church and teaching her the faith. The dispute intensified after Ava expressed interest in being baptized. A December 2024 court order restricted Bickford's ability to bring Ava to her church and gave the child's father significant authority over decisions concerning religious upbringing and medical care. Most notably, the order prohibits Bickford from reading the Bible to her daughter in her own home, a direct infringement on her religious freedom. Despite the restrictions, Ava continues to independently read the Bible and maintain her faith. Bickford plans to petition the U.S. Supreme Court with the help of Liberty Counsel. She continues to pray for Ava's …More
Though almost every president may have been a scoundrel, it could be somewhat possible to rank them using Catholic principles. I tried my best, but let me know how you would order these Tormentors-in-Chief.
– Folha de S. Paulo, April 14, 1979 – by Plinio Corrêa de Oliveira The Church’s Mission on Earth Commenting on John Paul II’s address at the opening of the Puebla Conference, I have so far dealt with the essentially religious part of the message. I now turn to the section on earthly society. This division of themes strictly follows the structure of part 1 of the pontifical text, which is divided into three main sections titled “The Truth About Jesus Christ,” “The Truth About the Mission of the Church,” and “The Truth About Man.” In the order of presentation, John Paul II gives primacy to “The Truth About Jesus Christ” because it is infinitely more important. “The Truth About the Mission of the Church” follows, and then “The Truth About Man,” which can be focused appropriately only when presented in the light of “The Truth About Jesus Christ,” another reason for it to take precedence. From the “Truth about Jesus Christ” in the foreground, teachings concerning the Church, the spiritual …More
Why does anyone pay attention to these gents who call themselves Pope when anyone who becomes so called Pope can change anything his predecessor says? The whole thing is silliness. There is no permanence whatsoever among these fools when anyone can say what ever he wants. Pius V says Latin is the unalterable language of the sacred liturgy 500 years later some obese gent says no that is not true. Wake up.

Jesus to Sister Amalia: I Will Grant Whatever is Asked if Begged for the Sake of My Mother's Tears! -- youtube.com/live/A6eZHrd2lHc?cbrd=1&ucbcb=1 Our-Lady-of-Tears-Rosary -- PDF healingheartofjesus.com/…ads/2022/06/Our-Lady-of-… Our Lady of Tears presents us with an image of the Blessed Mother, and an opportunity to transform our own tears into prayer. It all started on November 8, 1929, in Campinas, Brazil. Sister Amalia, of the Institute of the Missionaries of the Scourged Jesus, felt pangs of sorrow for a mother in her life. She had just met with a male relative who was in great distress. His wife, seriously ill, had been diagnosed by several doctors as incurable. He came to Sister Amalia, because he didn’t know where else to turn, he didn’t know what to do, and he didn’t know what God expected of him. His children would be left motherless, and he couldn’t bear the thought of being without his wife. Sister Amalia, pained at her relative’s grief and the thought of the sorrow facing …More

Your Vocation Is The Path To Sainthood St. Paul advises the Corinthians on marriage and virginity, emphasizing that both are valid vocations leading to sainthood. The key is to discern God’s will through prayer, seeking detachment and clarity about one’s calling. Fulfillment comes from living in one’s true vocation, even amidst struggles, while living outside of it may lead to a sense of longing and incompleteness. Fr. Sabrina (LionHearted) @LionHearted76 They wrote it down, entered it into federal court, and still somehow expect us to pretend this is just “diversity.” Brigitte Gabriel is holding in her hand the Muslim Brotherhood’s 100 year plan to infiltrate and destroy America from within written in May 22, 1991. “This plan was presented as evidence in the Holy Land Foundation trial, the largest terrorism trial ever in the history of the United States where our government handed down 108 guilty verdicts for Muslim-Americans and Muslim-American foundations raising money to support terrorist organizations in the Middle East to the tune of millions.” A paragraph from the plan: “Understanding the role of the Muslim brother in North America. The process of settlement is a civilization Jihadist process with all the words mean. Brothers must understand that their work in America is a kind of brand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and sabotaging its miserable house …More
Cardinal Walter Brandmüller, 97, in a text published by Sandro Magister on September 8, writes about “synodality.” Main points: - According to the classical Catholic understanding, a synod is a meeting of bishops for the purpose of exercising jointly their teaching and pastoral ministry. - In 1965, Paul VI created the so-called Synod of Bishops as a consultative body of the pope. - Recently established bodies whose members include, in addition to bishops, priests and lay faithful of both sexes cannot properly be called synods. - Competent laypeople can, of course, be entrusted with a consultative role. But wherever such collaboration is practiced, one should carefully avoid any misleading use of the terms “synod,” “synodality,” and the like, and instead find a term that adequately expresses the actual situation. - The establishment of such bodies arises from an effort to adopt secular structures and democratic procedures within the life of the Church. - What is being proposed within the …More
209 Out of respect for the holiness of God, the people of Israel do not pronounce his name. In the reading of Sacred Scripture, the revealed name (YHWH) is replaced by the divine title "LORD" (in Hebrew Adonai, in Greek Kyrios). It is under this title that the divinity of Jesus will be acclaimed: "Jesus is LORD."
Can you hear Him? Can you hear His sweet Words echoing through the wind, traveling through time, reaching everywhere, staying true to His promise on how things should pass away, but His Words would never. More than 2,000 years ago Jesus spoke about Almighty Father wanting Mercy and Justice in order to for us to have a rich spiritual life... Many Powerful yet Sweet Words: "blessed the merciful as they shall receive Mercy, blessed those who hunger and thrist for righteousness, they will be filled", among all the other beatitudes key themes needed to go strive for perfection, you know, like humility, meekness, pureness of heart, compassion, accepting persecution in His Name and embracing joy for all of these happening in your life once accepting Jesus as Lord, although the two key ones for salvation, Mercy and Justice are the most twisted by our Lord’s enemies today. Our Lord’s left Arm is Mercy and His right Arm is Justice, as He is Divine Love like apostle John says, I repeat, God is Love …More
[unamsanctamcatholicam] There is a well-known quote from Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the author of Sherlock Holmes, to which I have always been partial. It goes, "When you have eliminated all which is impossible, then whatever remains, however improbable, must be the truth." Doyle's quote speaks to the mechanics of problem solving—those sincerely interested in getting to the heart of a matter must be willing to put all options on the table. This is especially true when the difficulty is seemingly insoluble and defies easy explanation. In such cases, when all obvious options have been exhausted, reason dictates that we proceed down the line to those less obvious. We already know what doesn't work; our task is to discover what does, however counterintuitive it might seem. This attitude is, in my experience, what characterizes people and organizations who are truly interested in problem solving versus those who wish only to pay lip service to it whilst refusing to seriously try to fix …More
