Canadian Miriam Lancaster, 84, went to a hospital in Vancouver late March with severe back pain. She told EWTN that before any tests or diagnosis, a doctor offered assisted suicide: “The very first thing she said to me was: ‘I would like to offer you MAiD.’” She had come for treatment and responded: “No, thank you.” Lancaster added that her husband had previously been told the same and had replied: “There is no way that we are going to take measures to end our life. That is in the hands of the Lord.” A few years later she gave the same response.
When Miriam Lancaster went to the hospital for severe back pain, she was stunned to be offered euthanasia instead of real care. In this conversation, she shares how that moment exposed a terrifying shift in our culture: suffering patients are being treated as problems to “solve,” not persons to love. She says, her husband had also been offered assisted su*cide a few years earlier as well. From a Catholic perspective, Miriam’s story is a stark reminder that every life—especially when it’s fragile, disabled, or in pain—is precious, unrepeatable, and entrusted to us by God, not the state or the medical system. Her witness challenges us to build a society that offers compassion, accompaniment, and authentic palliative care, never a lethal injection disguised as “dignity.”
Solemn Procession of the Most Blessed Sacrament at the conclusion of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass of the Lord’s Supper from the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, Jerusalem, celebrated this morning by His Beatitude Pierbattista Cardinal Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem.
When ziokillers talk about the emergence of a type of messiah from their evil, they are talking about Bibi handing over the reigns to some kind of anti-christ. He is confusing his defeat with a victory. Our Lord told us that He will return during a time of grace, not evil. "...then the end will come".
Low IQ fanboys. This is what your church wants. Basically man-children. When tradition has been completely erased, there is no need for memory. Everything is transient and juvenile. There is nothing eternal, and thus there is no peace, only disturbance, like a churning adolescence.

Typically, the Roman spolia found in England’s churches is thin red bricks - made by the Romans and reused by later Saxon and Norman builders. However, nowhere else have I found such a magnificent example - an entire archway! Escomb is truly a hidden gem. This is one of England’s oldest buildings and has hardly changed since it was first built back in the 7th century. It deserve the title of “ancient” because not only was it built by the Saxons deep in the mists of the so called dark ages, but it’s also built from literally ancient materials, the stone carved by the workers of the ancient Roman Empire. Pope Leo XIV has appointed Paola Fanelli on April 1 as Director of the Directorate for Personnel of the Holy See, a role within the Secretariat for the Economy. She takes over responsibility for personnel policy across Vatican dicasteries. There is no public record of her expressing views on Catholic teaching. She brings a background in organizational change and human resources. Her institutional background is rooted within BNL BNP Paribas (banking). Notably, she took part, as a BNL representative, in a closed-door think tank in 2018 organized by UNICEF Italy. Fanelli's position has, because of its unique weight, a somewhat unusual history. On March 6, 2020, the Holy See Press Office announced that such an office had been established, in a reform effort backed by Cardinal Reinhard Marx of Munich. But the next day, the same office clarified that it remained merely a proposal under consideration. The idea stalled at the time, amid internal resistance and broader reform turbulence. With …Ve

THE MYSTERIES OF THE ROSARY Fifth Mystery of Light: The institution of the Eucharist. In the Fifth Luminous Mystery, “By celebrating the Last Supper with His Apostles in the course of the Passover meal, Jesus gave the Jewish Passover its definitive meaning. Jesus' passing over to His Father by His Death and Resurrection, the new Passover, is anticipated in the Supper and celebrated in the Eucharist, which fulfils the Jewish Passover and anticipates the final Passover of the Church in the glory of the Kingdom". (Article 1340 of the Catechism of the Catholic Church)
5 The Institution of the Eucharist. holylandrosary | October 16, 2009 Thursdays: While they were eating, Jesus took bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to His disciples and said, "Take and eat, this is My body." "PSALM 28 Bring to Our Lady, O ye sons of God: bring to Our Lady praise and reverence. Give strength to thy saints, O holy Mother: and thy blessing to those who praise and glorify thee. Hear the groans of those who sigh to thee: and despise not the prayers of those who invoke thy name. Let thy hand be ready to help me: and thy ear inclined to my prayer. Let the heavens and the earth bless thee: the sea and the world. Glory be to the Father, etc."

Enkindle my heart with the fire of thy love: and with the girdle of chastity bind my reins. For thy mercy and thy clemency are before my eyes: and I was delighted in the voice of thy praise.
Anna Katharina Emmerick - Das bittere Leiden …
