After Vatican's Visitation: Heiligenkreuz Abbot Resigns

German-born Abbot Maximilian Heim, 65 will step down as head of Heiligenkreuz Abbey on September 14, ending more than 15 years at the helm of the monastery. Founded in 1133 southwest of Vienna, Austria, it is one of Europe’s best-known Cistercian monasteries.
The monastery still uses Latin and the Gregorian chant for its liturgies. It is strictly Novus Ordo with only few monks preferring the Roman rite. They had a difficult life under Abbot Heim.
Abbot Heim said the time had come to place the responsibility “in younger hands,” pointing to the heart problems he suffered last year.
Heim intends to return to pastoral ministry and theological work.
His resignation comes roughly a year before the scheduled end of his second term.
The monks are expected to elect new leadership in September.
In consultation with the Vatican, however, the community will initially elect an administrator for a three-year term rather than an abbot for the customary longer mandate.
The resignation comes only months …Ọzọ

Leo XIV Calls for Ecological Conversion and Pacifism

Today, Leo XIV published a message for the 2026 World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation.
He adopts the ecological vocabulary closely associated with Francis’ pontificate. Citing Laudato Si’, he speaks of an “authentic ecological conversion” and in metaphors such as “the ecosystems of the human heart.”
The message also contains a naïve statement on warfare. “The true tools for building peace are not weapons of destruction,” Leo writes, listing instead “truth, dialogue, patience, goodness, justice, mercy, understanding, care and love.”
Leo XIV enfolds an earthly program of disarmament, poverty reduction and ecological improvement: “Let us imagine a world in which the energies currently invested in war are directed toward integral human development, to overcoming poverty, protecting human dignity and reconciling divided peoples. Such a vision reflects faith in the coming of God’s Kingdom.”

🌍 10 Million Downloads: The Gospel of St. John Is Reaching the World Digitally | SG News
A remarkable digital mission milestone is drawing attention around the world. 📖🌎 The Pocket Testament League has recorded more than 10 million digital downloads of the Gospel of John through its mobile app in less than a year. India leads the surge with approximately 3.68 million downloads, followed by Bangladesh with 1.48 million. Even more striking is the growing engagement from countries where access to traditional Christian resources can be difficult, including Iran, Afghanistan, Yemen, Pakistan, Sudan, and Iraq. The ministry traces its roots back to 1893, when Helen Cadbury began distributing pocket-sized Scripture. Today, that same mission has entered the digital age, with total app downloads surpassing 30 million since the transition to digital ministry in 2020. Behind every statistic is a person searching for truth, hope, and the Word of God. Watch how technology is helping Scripture reach …Ọzọ

Cardinal Burke on “Unworthy” Popes: Catholics can legitimately object to a pope’s words or actions, Cardinal Raymond Burke said in an August 18 video by the Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, noting that sometimes the pope simply “speaks as a man.” He added that earlier popes spoke more cautiously to avoid confusing personal opinions with authoritative teaching. And: “Even if there were popes who did not fulfill their ministry in a worthy way, the office of the Vicar of Christ on earth stands and will always stand in the Catholic Church.” Burke also appears to make a small slip of the tongue, referring to the pope as the “successor of Christ” rather than the successor of St. Peter.

Cardinal Burke refers to the Pope as the “successor of Christ” — a slip of the tongue.

The good Cardinal needs to make up his mind…should he obey a heretical Pope or not?

Prevost was installed through an agreement with Bergoglio, who made him a bishop and then a fake anti-cardinal, since Bergoglio was installed by the freemasons and didn't have the power to consecrate cardinals. A true Catholic disobeys and denounces the heresies and blasphemies of the usurper Prevost, who pretends to be 'Pope' to spread his leftist politics, homosexuality, and synodal syncretism. All for the eternal damnation of souls.

Priest Alters Words of Consecration, Nuns Appear as "Concelebrants".
Worse than Germany: A video published by InfoVaticana.com shows Trinitarian nuns at the Monastery of Suesa in Cantabria, Spain, standing around the altar like concelebrants, with their hands extended during the Eucharistic Prayer. The celebrating priest altered the words of consecration, using feminine forms. He said, “Tomad y comed todas de él” (“Take and eat, all of you” — using the feminine todas). Furthermore, he prayed “for all humanity” instead of “for many.” He also replaced “Do this in memory of me” with: “Do this to remember that I am among you as one who serves.”

🇺🇸 The boy who remembered being someone else... from 50 years ago
Ryan Hammond, an American boy, began recounting memories of a life that—according to him—was not his own: that of Marty Martin, a Broadway dancer who had passed away five decades earlier and about whom the boy had never heard or seen anything.
What was extraordinary was not just the story, but the details: names, dates, places, and specific episodes from Marty’s life that Ryan recounted with a level of precision impossible to explain for a child his age.
The case came to the attention of psychiatrist Jim Tucker, renowned for his research on past-life memories at the University of Virginia. After verifying every piece of data, he confirmed that the information matched—even down to the exact years Marty lived, a detail that led researchers to discover an error on his death certificate.
Coincidence, cryptomnesia, or something science cannot yet explain? 🤔

After a Scholar’s Awful Death, Mistaken Calls for Censorship - A Rush to Pin a Sad Death on the Media

By Michelle Goldberg
Opinion Columnist
Last year, Jack Grove, a reporter for Times Higher Education, a British magazine, was preparing an article about plagiarism allegations against the star academic Jason Arday. It would have been a big story because Arday, who in 2023 became Cambridge’s youngest-ever Black professor, was a minor celebrity, thanks in part to his seemingly extraordinary biography.
Among other things, Arday said that he’d gotten his Ph.D. despite severe autism that left him nonverbal until he was 11 and unable to read until he was 18. He’d claimed to have run 600 miles in six days, which would have made him one of the world’s most accomplished ultramarathoners.
Grove sent Arday three emails with questions about both his work and his history. Arday responded by hiring one of Britain’s leading defamation …Ọzọ

Why the Church stopped teaching wives must obey: Tim Gordon’s nuclear take
Catholic author and podcaster Timothy Gordon joins John-Henry Westen for a wide-ranging conversation on feminism, traditional Catholic marriage, and the crisis of authority in the Church. Gordon draws from the Roman Catechism to argue that modern Catholics have become uncomfortable with traditional teachings on male headship and wifely obedience. He discusses his documentary What a Woman Is, the “Diaper Gate” controversy, and the backlash his positions have received, including from women who support his arguments.
They then turn to the death penalty, where Gordon challenges recent Catholic teaching restricting capital punishment. He traces the decisive break to changes under Pope John Paul II, arguing that the traditional justification rests on retributive justice, not merely preventing future crimes.
They also talk about Pope Leo XIV, the “seamless garment” approach to pro-life issues, Amoris Laetitia, and the …Ọzọ

I had the honor of meeting two lovely Catholic Rhodesians, yesterday and in their honor I wish to post this excerpt from Ian Smith's book. The Great Betrayal. In the Communist attack on Rhodesia you will see the naked aggression of the "Errors of Russia."

"Probably the most compelling argument in support of our taking of independence was the recent history of Africa; we were living cheek by jowl with the results. For example, Ghana was the first British country to be granted independence in 1957, and the British government claimed that this glorious example would prove the success of Britain’s colonial policy.
Within a couple of years their President Nkrumah had established a one party dictatorship, half of the Members of Parliament were imprisoned, the leaders of the opposition had been eliminated, the economy was in ruins, and the President had established an external multi-million-pound personal bank account. We could not know at the time that in the following year, 1966, he would be ousted and lucky to get out with his life.
Next in line for independence was Nigeria, in 1960, and we were told that this was a mature country with links with Britain and Europe going back over 200 years. There were big religious and ethnic differences …
