Auxiliary Bishop Rob Mutsaerts of Den Bosch is believed to have suffered a blackout while driving home from Helvoirt, reports Nd.nl. On Saturday evening, he was at the Emmaus retreat centre in Helvoirt, hearing confessions. On the way home, he drove his car into a tree. Further examinations will need to determine how he suddenly left the road. He sustained a dislocated hip, as well as fractures to his pelvis and elbow, and spent some time in intensive care on Sunday. The diocese has confirmed that he is conscious and able to communicate. Upon learning of the accident on Sunday, Bishop Gerard de Korte of Den Bosch immediately called Mutsaerts. De Korte stated: “He remembers absolutely nothing about the accident. (WNCN) — Two men are behind bars after cyber tips from the North Carolina State Bureau of Investigation accused them of child sex crimes, according to the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office. According to the sheriff’s office, investigators received a number of tips through the Internet Crimes Against Children database, which said 39-year-old Joshua Lee Gilliam and 39-year-old Ronald Wayne Lynch Jr. were in possession of child sexual abuse material. A search of Gilliam and Lynch Jr.’s house on Linda Baucom Lane in Erwin saw deputies seize multiple electronic devices, the sheriff’s office said. A search of those devises lead to both men being charged. Court records show Gilliam and Lynch Jr. are being charged with first-degree sexual exploitation of a minor.
